How pitch is preserved
Simply speeding up audio raises the pitch (the chipmunk effect). This tool uses WSOLA, which splits the waveform into short segments and shifts where they overlap, shortening the time without changing the pitch. It works well for speech and lectures.
Music may show slight wobble above 1.5×. If pitch does not matter, turning “Keep pitch” off gives a cleaner result.
Frequently asked questions
Does the pitch change?
Not with “Keep pitch” on. Turn it off and the pitch changes in proportion to the speed.
Can I change the speed of a video?
This tool outputs audio only. Use “Change video speed” to change the picture as well.
What is the maximum speed?
3×. Faster than that becomes hard to follow, so it is not offered.
Can I slow audio down?
Yes. 0.5× and 0.75× are available, which helps with language listening practice.

What is sent
The tool you used and the settings you chose (output format, quality, etc.), your device specs (GPU, memory, core count), the input format with a rough size, how many files succeeded or failed and how long it took, and the error type and details when something fails.
What is never sent
The files themselves, file names, text, subtitles or prompts you add to a video, and IP addresses. The data goes only to this site's own server, never to a third-party service.
