Rearrange PDF pages

Rearrange the pages of a PDF by dragging them in a page list, for free. You can also rotate, delete and duplicate pages at the same time. There is no usage limit. Your PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded. You can open PDFs of up to 200 MB per file (100 MB on phones and tablets).

Checking your environment…

You can open one PDF at a time (up to 200 MB on this device). The PDF is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use

  1. 1

    Open a PDF

Choose or drop the PDF to edit. PDFs are never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Edit the pages

Select pages to rotate, delete or duplicate them. Drag to reorder. "Undo" goes back one step.

  3. 3

    Save the PDF

Press "Save PDF" to create the edited PDF, then save it with the button that appears.

About rearranging PDF pages

Select pages and press "Rotate left", "Rotate right", "Delete" or "Duplicate". To select pages, click them, Shift-click to select a range, or type them into the "Selected pages" box, such as "1-3,5". On a phone, long-press a page and then move it. With a keyboard, lift a page with the Space key and move it with the arrow keys. "Undo" takes you back one step.

If you only reorder and rotate, the PDF is saved with its original structure, so its encryption, bookmarks, form fields and tags stay as they are. Deleting or duplicating pages creates a new PDF, which gets the same open password and restrictions as the original.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF sent to a server?

No. Opening, rearranging and saving the PDF all happen in the browser on your device. Statistics that help us fix bugs (the page count range, ranges of how many pages were rotated, deleted, duplicated or moved, error types and so on) are sent to this site's server. They do not include the content of the PDF, file names, passwords or the page ranges you enter. You can turn the statistics off with the "Send processing statistics" switch at the bottom of the page.

Can I use password-protected PDFs or PDFs with editing restrictions?

Yes. A password-protected PDF opens once you enter its open password. If the author has restricted page editing, you cannot reorder, rotate or delete its pages until you enter the permissions password. This tool does not guess passwords, so if you do not know the permissions password, ask the person who created the PDF. The saved PDF gets the same open password and the same restrictions as the original, but if you opened the original by entering the permissions password in the "Password to open" field, that permissions password becomes the password to open the saved PDF.

Does the content of deleted pages stay in the saved PDF?

As a rule, no. Deleted pages are left out of the saved PDF, and images and other resources used only by those pages are removed too. However, the shapes of characters and other content from deleted pages may remain in fonts, images and other resources shared with other pages, and outside the visible area of the pages you keep (for example, cropped pages or split from a two-page spread). If there is content you do not want others to see, redacting with "Remove more thoroughly (turn the page into an image)" selected in the Redact PDF tool leaves only the visible part on that page. Saving makes digital signatures invalid, and when you delete or duplicate pages, tags (the structure used by screen readers) are removed and form field contents are written into the page.

Is there anything this tool must not be used for?

Yes. Reordering or deleting the pages of documents created by others and distributing them without the author's permission is prohibited. Reordering or deleting pages to make a document appear to say something different from the original is also prohibited.

Help us improve the service

If a conversion fails, sending us the circumstances helps us track down the cause. Knowing which devices and formats fail most often, and how long processing takes, lets us revise the supported formats and fix the bugs behind them. If you don't mind, leaving this on is a real help.

What is sent

  • The tool you used and the settings you chose (output format, quality, etc.)
  • Your device specs (GPU, memory, core count)
  • The input format with a rough size
  • How many files succeeded or failed and how long it took
  • The error type and details when something fails

What is never sent

  • The files themselves and file names
  • Text, subtitles or prompts you add to a video
  • The text to be read aloud, voice descriptions, the pronunciation dictionary and saved voices
  • The text in PDFs, the text you rewrote or redacted, passwords, font names and the page ranges you enter
  • IP addresses

The data goes only to this site's own server, never to a third-party service.
