Privacy policy
This site (media.tools.ryusei.io) is a free, individually run collection of in-browser media conversion tools. This page describes how users' files and data are handled.
Files you process
Conversion, compression and editing of images, audio and video, reading text aloud, and PDF editing and conversion all run inside your browser. Files, text and their contents are never transmitted to this site's servers, and this site never stores or views them. The text, passwords and page ranges you enter in the PDF tools are not transmitted to this site's servers either. The pronunciation dictionary and saved voices for text to speech are stored only in your browser. When this page is opened from “Convert to MP3”, “Compress” or a similar button in X Space Downloader or X Video Downloader (sites by the same operator), it receives the audio or video file from that site's server and processes it in your browser like any other file.
Information sent to outside companies (external transmission of user information)
This site uses Google services for analytics and advertising. The information each service sends to the outside company (Google) is described below.
Analytics
Google Analytics is used to improve the site. To count visits and see how the site is used, the URL and title of the page you view, the URL of the previous page (referrer), time on page, actions on the page (scrolling, clicks on links to other sites, etc.), your browser and OS type, language and screen size, your IP address and a cookie identifier (cookies whose names begin with _ga) are sent to Google. The contents and names of processed files are not included. You can stop this by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on provided by Google.
Advertising
Ads are served through Google AdSense to cover running costs. When you open a page with ads, the page URL, the referrer, your IP address, your browser and OS type, language and screen size, identifiers such as cookies and advertising IDs, and records of ad views and clicks are sent to Google. Google uses this information to show ads (including ads based on your interests), to count ad views and clicks, and to detect invalid clicks. Personalised ads can be disabled in Google's Ads Settings.
Cookies
Cookies are used for the theme setting (light / dark) and for the analytics and advertising described above. No information about processed files is stored in cookies.
Processing statistics
To improve the service, this site collects statistics about whether processing succeeded on its own server. What is sent: the tool you used and the settings you chose (output format, quality, etc.), your device specs (GPU, memory, core count), the input format with a rough size (for text to speech: the approximate number of characters and sentences, how many parts the text was generated in, and how long the AI model took to load; for PDFs: the page count range, the numbers of rewrites, deletions, white-outs and redactions, the number of rewritten characters by source (original font or fallback font, the latter as a range) and the fallback typeface, the kinds of reasons why lines cannot be edited, whether editing is restricted, whether a permissions password was entered, whether the PDF is signed or encrypted, and the number of pages turned into images by redaction and the reasons; for PDF page operations and conversion between images and PDF: the numbers of inputs and outputs, of pages rotated, deleted, duplicated or moved, of images inserted as they are, converted, in HEIC format or with corrected orientation, and of pages rendered at a lower resolution (all as ranges), whether the original was updated in place or a new document was created, and whether the original protection was reapplied, form fields were written into the page and bookmarks were added back; for PDF compression, the number of images downsized, not downsized and black-and-white, the number of downsized images whose transparency was also downsized, that stayed lossless or that were converted from CMYK to RGB, and how many times the file was compressed (as ranges), the kinds of reasons images were not downsized, whether the target size was met and the kind of reason it was not met, the range of how much smaller the file got, and whether the original PDF was returned unchanged; for PDF cropping and page numbers, the number of pages cropped, numbered or with their margins reduced (as ranges), how the margins were set, how the pages to crop or number were chosen, the number format and position, and the range of the starting number), how many files succeeded or failed and how long it took, and the error type and details when something fails. The files themselves, file names, text, subtitles or prompts added to a video, the text to be read aloud, voice descriptions, the pronunciation dictionary, saved voices, the text in PDFs, the text you rewrote or redacted, passwords, font names and the page ranges you enter, and IP addresses are not sent. The data is deleted automatically after 30 days and is never shared with third-party services. You can turn it off at any time with the switch at the bottom of each tool page, and nothing is sent if your browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
