About rotating PDFs

Press "Rotate all pages right" to turn every page, or select pages and press "Rotate right" or "Rotate left". You can check the new orientation in the page list before saving. "Undo" takes you back one step.

Rotation changes only the page orientation setting. The encryption, bookmarks, form fields and tags of the original PDF stay as they are. A digitally signed PDF loses its valid signature when you save it.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF sent to a server?

No. Opening, rotating and saving the PDF all happen in the browser on your device. Statistics that help us fix bugs (the page count range, the range of how many pages were rotated, error types and so on) are sent to this site's server. They do not include the content of the PDF, file names, passwords or the page ranges you enter. You can turn the statistics off with the "Send processing statistics" switch at the bottom of the page.

Can I rotate password-protected PDFs or PDFs with editing restrictions?

Yes. A password-protected PDF opens once you enter its open password. If the author has restricted page editing, you cannot rotate it until you enter the permissions password. This tool does not guess passwords, so if you do not know the permissions password, ask the person who created the PDF. If you only rotate, the original encryption stays as it is; if you delete or duplicate pages, the saved PDF gets the same open password and restrictions as the original.

Does the new orientation stay when I open the PDF in other apps?

Yes. The tool changes the page orientation recorded in the PDF, so every PDF viewer shows the pages the same way. Unlike rotating only the view in a PDF viewer, the orientation stays the same when you send the saved PDF to someone else.

Can I rotate only some of the pages?

Yes. Select the pages to rotate and press "Rotate right" or "Rotate left"; only the selected pages turn. To select pages, click them or type them into the "Selected pages" box, such as "1-3,5".

Help us improve the service

If a conversion fails, sending us the circumstances helps us track down the cause. Knowing which devices and formats fail most often, and how long processing takes, lets us revise the supported formats and fix the bugs behind them. If you don't mind, leaving this on is a real help.

What is sent

  • The tool you used and the settings you chose (output format, quality, etc.)
  • Your device specs (GPU, memory, core count)
  • The input format with a rough size
  • How many files succeeded or failed and how long it took
  • The error type and details when something fails

What is never sent

  • The files themselves and file names
  • Text, subtitles or prompts you add to a video
  • The text to be read aloud, voice descriptions, the pronunciation dictionary and saved voices
  • The text in PDFs, the text you rewrote or redacted, passwords, font names and the page ranges you enter
  • IP addresses

The data goes only to this site's own server, never to a third-party service.
