Settings
How to use
- 1
Add a video
Drop the video you want to cut.
- 2
Enter start and end
Use minutes:seconds like 1:23 or plain seconds like 83.5. Leave the end empty to keep everything to the end.
- 3
Run and save
A video containing only the selected range is produced. Keeping the same format avoids re-encoding, so it is lossless and fast.
About lossless cutting
With the output format set to "Same as input", the video and audio data are copied as-is. Nothing is re-encoded, so there is no quality loss and a 10-minute video is done in seconds.
The cut can only begin at a keyframe, so the output may start up to a few seconds before the time you entered. For frame-accurate cuts, choose a different output format to force re-encoding.
Frequently asked questions
How do I enter times?
As 1:23 (1 min 23 s), 1:02:03 (1 h 2 min 3 s) or 83.5 (83.5 seconds). Leave the end empty to keep everything to the end.
The output starts earlier than I asked
Without re-encoding, cuts can only happen at keyframes. For exact cuts, change the output format so the video is re-encoded.
Can I cut several ranges?
One range per run. Change the settings and run again for more.
Is the audio cut too?
Yes. Video and audio are cut to the same range.
Help us improve the service
If a conversion fails, sending us the circumstances helps us track down the cause. Knowing which devices and formats fail most often, and how long processing takes, lets us revise the supported formats and fix the bugs behind them. If you don't mind, leaving this on is a real help.
What is sent
The tool you used and the settings you chose (output format, quality, etc.), your device specs (GPU, memory, core count), the input format with a rough size, how many files succeeded or failed and how long it took, and the error type and details when something fails.
What is never sent
The files themselves, file names, text, subtitles or prompts you add to a video, and IP addresses. The data goes only to this site's own server, never to a third-party service.
