About converting PNG to PDF

PNG images go into the PDF with their pixels unchanged. Transparent areas stay transparent in the PDF, showing the white page underneath. Images with lots of text or lines, such as screenshots and diagrams, keep sharp edges. If you set "Max long side", images are scaled down to that size and re-encoded.

Use "Move up" and "Move down" in the list to change the order. For the paper, choose "A4", "US Letter" or "Fit to image". "Fit to image" makes a page for each image, sized to the image plus the margins. With the margins set to "None", each page has the same aspect ratio as its image.

Frequently asked questions

Are my images sent to a server?

No. Reading the images and creating the PDF all happen in the browser on your device. Statistics that help us fix bugs (the range of image counts, ranges of how many images were inserted as they are or converted, error types and so on) are sent to this site's server. They do not include the content of the images or file names. You can turn the statistics off with the "Send processing statistics" switch at the bottom of the page.

How many images can I combine?

Up to 500 images at a time. With many images, depending on your device's memory, it may take a while or fail. In that case, make several PDFs and combine them with "Merge PDF".

Does the text stored in PNG files stay in the PDF?

No. Text stored in PNG files (such as the name of the app that created them) is not put into the PDF.

Can I also combine JPG or HEIC images?

Not on this page. This page accepts only PNG files. If you have JPG, HEIC, WebP or other images too, use "Image to PDF".

Help us improve the service

If a conversion fails, sending us the circumstances helps us track down the cause. Knowing which devices and formats fail most often, and how long processing takes, lets us revise the supported formats and fix the bugs behind them. If you don't mind, leaving this on is a real help.

What is sent

  • The tool you used and the settings you chose (output format, quality, etc.)
  • Your device specs (GPU, memory, core count)
  • The input format with a rough size
  • How many files succeeded or failed and how long it took
  • The error type and details when something fails

What is never sent

  • The files themselves and file names
  • Text, subtitles or prompts you add to a video
  • The text to be read aloud, voice descriptions, the pronunciation dictionary and saved voices
  • The text in PDFs, the text you rewrote or redacted, passwords, font names and the page ranges you enter
  • IP addresses

The data goes only to this site's own server, never to a third-party service.
